Meet Nadia Ørneborg

Nadia is a former artist working in animation. She lost everything in 2020 when she was hit by a taxi running a red light. Left with a shattered world and a shattered brain she had 2 choices - give up or keep fighting - and it changed her artistic focus forever.

Nadia’s work is deeply informed by her lived experience with a debilitating head injury, years of physical impairment and her unyielding battle to find a way back to herself.

Through her artistic practise she insists that change is possible! Exploring the inner forces that allows us to keep fighting, she seeks to inspire and remind others of their own blazing strength and ability to overcome even the most difficult of situations.

Reflecting both the possibilities and limitations of her physical recovery, her large-scale abstract oil paintings gives shape to the intangible: hope, resilience and rebuilding after collapse.

The result is a striking body of work that feels both delicate and inherently bold.
